What we offer here

Matines has been a family home for nearly 30 years. We have two adjacent and interconnecting houses. This allows space to welcome guests on a self-catering basis. The end house, Maison Besse, has a large kitchen with open fire, a sitting/reading area, double bedroom and bathroom. This is not a spotless gite or smart b&b, but a well-loved home which we offer to guests. Our accommodation is comfortable, clean and spacious with its own outside staircase and eating area.

We allow our guests the freedom to live independently, and to use the outside spaces. We invite you to join us in the small oratoire (prayer room) for any or all of our times of prayer (8:30am. 12:45pm and 6:00pm). There are plenty of walks from the house, and interesting places to visit locally.
